Bob Manera

Founding Director

Bob emigrated from Northern Italy when he was 8 years old and lived in country NSW. With no skills in reading or writing English Bob struggled at school and after gaining employment as a baker, left school at the age of 15. Bob went on to purchase his first Bakery in Menindee when he was 19 years old.

Bob and his wife moved to Adelaide just after they were married where Bob strived in creating and managing successful businesses throughout his career. This included owning and operating a chain of liquor stores, taverns, and a winery in South Australia during the 1970s and ’80s. After moving away from liquor, Bob moved into property, including the acquisition of the Manera Building in Hindley Street and the establishment of Don’s Fine Foods. As market conditions changed Bob transitioned into furniture retail in 2005.

Bob is a devoted grandfather and loves nothing more than travelling with his family.
